MIXOLOGY TIPS

Quality Ingredients: Always use high-quality spirits, fresh fruits, herbs, and other ingredients. The freshness and quality of your ingredients will significantly impact the taste of the cocktail.

Balance the Flavors: Aim for a well-balanced cocktail with the right combination of sweet, sour, bitter, and aromatic elements. Experiment with different ratios until you find the perfect balance.

Muddling Techniques: When muddling fruits or herbs, do it gently to release the flavors without over-extracting bitter compounds. Use a wooden muddler to avoid bruising delicate ingredients.

Shake vs. Stir: Know when to shake and when to stir. Generally, shake cocktails with fruit juices, egg whites, or other ingredients that require thorough mixing. Stir cocktails that are primarily spirit-based to maintain clarity and a smoother texture.

Garnish with Purpose: Garnishes not only add visual appeal but can also enhance the aroma and taste of a cocktail. Use garnishes that complement the flavors of the drink.

Rim with Flavors: When rimming a glass with salt, sugar, or other seasonings, use citrus juice or simple syrup as the adhesive for better adhesion and flavor.
